Hotpoint UK Appliances Limited and D&G entered into a partnership aimed at ensuring a high standard of service to consumers of Hotpoint products. In order to ensure that the processing of your personal data is carried out in accordance with the applicable privacy laws, entered into a contract in order to distinguish the purposes pursued, identify the privacy roles they held, and identify how the processing was to be carried out. The purposes for the processing of your personal data, are described as follows:

Purpose and Legal Basis Roles of Beko, Hotpoint and D&G
Registration of Hotpoint and Beko products (see section (b) in the table above).

Customer support, including for the purpose of repairing or replacing products (see section (c) in the table above)
Joint Controllers - the companies offer a joint service, which consists of both registration and customer service, and which also offers the possibility of purchasing extended warranties. The companies operate as joint controllers as the service is the result of a joint decision regarding the purposes (which are related to establishing a relationship with consumers who purchase a Hotpoint or Beko product, offering appropriate support even in the event of product failure, offering benefits such as extended warranties, solving technical issues) and also the means of processing (in that the Registration Website is operated by D&G and call centers are offered by Hotpoint and D&G, depending on the country and the type of support required by the consumer).
Promotion of extended warranties, offered to purchasers of Hotpoint and Beko products (see section 2.1(e) above), actively sent by Hotpoint and D&G

Promotion of extended warranties, offered to purchasers of Hotpoint products (see section 2.1(k) above), during calls made to the call center or while browsing the Website
Joint Controllers – Hotpoint, Beko and D&G are pursuing a common purpose, which is to offer consumers the purchase of a D&G extended warranty, and they decide together how to propose such offers. Where such offers are made during a call you have made to the call center or on the Registration Website, these are based on our legitimate interest to provide you with the most comprehensive customer support. For more information, consumers may contact either company.
In the event that Beko, Hotpoint and D&G engage in direct marketing activities, however, your consent will be required to allow the parties to contact you.
Beko, Hotpoint and D&G may put in place additional promotions and/or marketing activities, as represented in the table above or by D&G in its own privacy notice.
Recording of calls received by Hotpoint and D&G call centers for service improvement (see section 2.1(l) above) Joint Controllers - Hotpoint and D&G intend to improve their customer service, offered via call center, and decide together how to manage call recordings.
Managing the SmartCare Loyalty Program. Lawful basis here is a contractual relationship as the SmartCare Loyalty Program is linked to the D&G extended warranty to be active. Joint Controllers - Hotpoint and D&G are pursuing a common purpose, which is to offer consumers loyalty program points awarded for purchases and renewals of D&G extended warranties that can be used on Hotpoint’s SmartCare website towards a purchase of a new Hotpoint appliance. The terms of the loyalty program are decided together by Hotpoint and D&G.
Managing the contractual relationship with a consumer who has decided to purchase a D&G extended warranty D&G operates as data controller. In cases where the extended warranty contract is sold by a Hotpoint call center operator, Hotpoint operates as a data processor. The price offering or customer priority based on profiling and the data to be collected to execute the agreement is determined entirely by D&G as data controller. The contractual relationship is in fact between the consumer and D&G, which acts as a regulated entity.
For further information regarding the processing of your data for this purpose, please review D&G’s privacy notice. D&G and its Data Protection Officer can be contacted for any questions regarding the processing carried out jointly with Hotpoint, at the following addresses: [email protected].
Recording of calls received by Hotpoint and D&G call centers, aimed at fulfilling applicable compliance and insurance laws D&G operates as data controller. In cases where the recording pertains to a call between the consumer and a Hotpoint call center operator, Hotpoint operates as a data processor.
